Swinging, or extra-marital consensual sex isn’t something new or, for that matter, out of the ordinary. Still, we live in a society with layers and layers of complexity. Before you attempt to engage in swinging, I would suggest that you fully consider what effect this activity would have on your life if [or when] it became public.

Anonymity

Anonymity is a thing of the past. You cannot make a phone call which doesn’t leave a trace. You cannot send an email which cannot be traced to your real identity. I own more than 50 email addresses, and while I consider some of them to be more secure than others, I assure that my identity can be found from any of them.

When you call my home or cell phone I know where you called from and often your name. I make all phone calls with the understanding that the person(s) on the other end can read my name on their caller ID. There is no phone anonymity today.

In large cities, when you enter certain public areas to meet potential partners, you may find out later that you are on at least one surveillance camera.

How can you do this anyway?

If you don’t care who knows, then it doesn’t matter who knows. If you are committed to swinging, then don’t worry about hiding your tracks. You can’t be blackmailed if you aren’t ashamed. If you aren’t that sure of yourself, maybe swinging is not a hobby for you. On the Web, any swingers’ site can record your identity, and while all have privacy policies, they all include a requirement for verifiable identification, at least to prove that you are over 18 years old.

Remember that if you aren’t trying to hide anything, you can’t be hurt if someone finds out. Swinging is legal, consensual sex between adults who have the right to consent. Go do it and enjoy. Your safety is in openness. If someone wants to abduct you and/or blackmail you and/or do you bodily harm, the more people that know where you are going and with whom, the safer you are.

Getting Your Spouse on Board

I have read that the best time to broach the idea to your partner is during sex. Only a man could have thought of that. only a man might be turned on by the question, “what if we asked another chick to show up and watch or you can do her while I watch?” Females, at least most females that I have met don’t think that is a “cool idea” while having sex. A calm and relaxed, friendly moment might be much better. A summer walk on a beach, looking at partially nude people (or totally nude people) where you could casually, and jokingly ask, “wouldn’t you like him to do you?” is a better line in my opinion, especially if you happento catch her looking that look at him.
